The full-length guide is available here. It is currently being updated.

New Content

Xianyun
Xianyun allows Noelle to become a Plunging Attack DPS unit with her Geo Infusion. Further testing is underway!

Navia
Navia is a great quickswap partner for Noelle. Noelle’s flexibility allows Navia to use her Skill up to 3 times per rotation. Navia also generates a good amount of Geo Particles to lower ER requirements.

Furina
Furina is one of Noelle’s best non-Geo teammates. She provides good personal damage and a strong DMG% buff, but she also drains the team’s HP. Noelle takes good advantage of Furina’s buff and her healing can counteract the teamwide HP drain.

Tidal Shadow
Tidal Shadow is a craftable Claymore from Fontaine that performs on par with Whiteblind. If you already possess Whiteblind, there is no need to craft Tidal Shadow for Noelle.

Verdict
Verdict is a good option for Noelle; however, it is better used on Navia if you only have one copy. Verdict is not worth pulling just for Noelle.

Ultimate Overlord’s Mega Magic Sword
This Claymore is not worth using on Noelle over other options.

Beacon of the Reed Sea
Beacon of the Reed Sea is a competitive option that performs on par with Verdict. Can be worth it on Noelle if you already have it, but it is not worth pulling just for Noelle.

Marechaussee Hunter
4pc Marechaussee Hunter is Noelle’s best artifact set when paired with Furina. The 2pc set can be used in a transitional 2pc mixed set while farming for a good 4pc set.

Character Overview

Playstyles

Noelle should be played as an on-field unit. She excels in multi-target content but is still viable in single-target scenarios.

On-Field DPS

Noelle is a good on-field damage dealer. After using her Skill and Burst, she provides strong personal damage and teamwide healing with her Geo-infused Normal Attack Talent. The cooldown of her DEF-scaling shield decreases by 1s with every 4th Normal Attack Talent hit, which is enough to maintain longer uptime in most on-field teams.

Noelle can freely swap in and out without losing the Geo Infusion granted by her Burst, so teammates can swap in to refresh their abilities. Some of her on-field teams could be classified as “quickswap” for this reason.

Off-Field Support

Noelle should not be played as an off-field support. She requires field time to heal her teammates and her shield only has 50% uptime in an off-field playstyle. If you already have a dedicated on-field unit in your team, opt for a different support over Noelle.

Talents

Level and Talent Priority

Level 90 > Normal Attack = Burst > Skill

You should raise Noelle to Level 90 to maximize her Base DEF. Level her Normal Attack and Burst equally since they account for all of her personal damage. Her Skill can be leveled to increase her healing and shielding effectiveness.

Talent Overview

Normal Attack
Normal Attack | Favonius Bladework – Maid

Normal Attack
Performs up to 4 consecutive strikes.

Charged Attack
Drains Stamina over time to perform continuous spinning attacks against all nearby opponents.

At the end of the sequence, performs a more powerful slash.

Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Noelle’s Normal Attacks are fundamental to her on-field playstyle. She performs three sweeping AoE attacks and a final slam in front of her. She can also viably perform Charged Attacks and Plunging Attacks in certain scenarios. Noelle’s Burst infuses Geo into her Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, and Plunging Attacks with Burst.

Read the Combos section for more details on Noelle’s Normal Attack possibilities.

Elemental Skill
Elemental Skill | Breastplate

Summons protective stone armor, dealing Geo DMG to surrounding opponents and creating a shield. The shield’s DMG Absorption scales based on Noelle’s DEF.

The shield has the following properties:

  • When Noelle’s Normal and Charged Attacks hit a target, they have a certain chance to regenerate HP for all characters.
  • Possesses 150% DMG Absorption efficiency against all Elemental and Physical DMG.

The amount of HP healed when regeneration is triggered scales based on Noelle’s DEF.

Noelle’s Elemental Skill creates a Geo shield, but it doesn’t generate Geo Particles. Noelle can maintain high shield uptime with the help of her A4 Passive. While the shield is active, Noelle’s Normal Attacks have a chance to heal the team.

If you have C4 Noelle, stay close to enemies to ensure that they get hit by the shield expiration damage.

Elemental Burst
Elemental Burst | Sweeping Time

Gathering the strength of stone around her weapon, Noelle strikes the opponents surrounding her within a large AoE, dealing Geo DMG.

Afterwards, Noelle gains the following effects:

  • Larger attack AoE.
  • Converts attack DMG to Geo DMG that cannot be overridden by any other elemental infusion.
  • Increased ATK that scales based on her DEF.

Noelle’s Elemental Burst infuses her Normal Attack Talent with Geo and increases her ATK stat based on her DEF stat. Her Geo-infused Normal Attacks have a significantly longer range than her Physical Normal Attacks.

Ascension 1 Passive
Ascension 1 Passive | Devotion

When Noelle is in the party but not on the field, this ability triggers automatically when your active character’s HP falls below 30%:

  • Creates a shield for your active character that lasts for 20s and absorbs DMG equal to 400% of Noelle’s DEF.
  • The shield has a 150% DMG Absorption effectiveness against all Elemental and Physical DMG.
  • This effect can only occur once every 60s.

Noelle’s A1 Passive is mostly useless since her Normal Attacks’ healing during her shield duration prevents teammates from falling below 30% Max HP. Nonetheless, it can be a lifesaver if you somehow wind up in that situation in Spiral Abyss.

Ascension 4 Passive
Ascension 4 Passive | Nice and Clean

Every 4 Normal or Charged Attack hits will decrease the CD of Breastplate by 1s.
Hitting multiple opponents with a single attack is only counted as 1 hit.

Noelle’s A4 Passive allows her Normal or Charged Attacks to reduce her Skill cooldown by 1s for every 4th hit. This is valuable in maintaining shield and Geo Resonance uptime in teams without another shielder.

Constellations

Constellation 1
Constellation 1 | I Got Your Back

While Sweeping Time and Breastplate are both in effect, the chance of Breastplate’s healing effects activating is increased to 100%.

Noelle’s C1 guarantees that her Normal or Charged Attacks heal the team while her Skill and Burst are both active. This removes the RNG aspect of her healing at C0.

Constellation 2
Constellation 2 | Combat Maid

Decreases the Stamina Consumption of Noelle’s Charged Attacks by 20% and increases her Charged Attack DMG by 15%.

Noelle’s C2 gives her a Charged Attack DMG Bonus. Noelle typically uses her Charged Attacks only if she has Redhorn Stonethresher equipped.

Constellation 3
Constellation 3 | Invulnerable Maid

Increases the Level of Breastplate by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.

This Constellation increases the healing and shield durability of her Skill.

Constellation 4
Constellation 4 | To Be Cleaned

When Breastplate’s duration expires or it is destroyed by DMG, it will deal 400% of Noelle’s ATK of Geo DMG to surrounding opponents.

Noelle’s C4 enables her to deal a strong burst of Geo damage in a small AoE after her shield expires.

Constellation 5
Constellation 5 | Favonius Sweeper Master

Increases the Level of Sweeping Time by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.

This Constellation provides a significant boost to her damage. When her Burst is Talent Level 10 or higher (or she has C6), Noelle benefits more from building DEF than ATK. This lets you run a DEF-focused build without having to crown Noelle’s Elemental Burst Talent.

Constellation 6
Constellation 6 | Must Be Spotless

Sweeping Time increases Noelle’s ATK by an additional 50% of her DEF.
Additionally, every opponent defeated during the skill’s duration adds 1s to the duration, up to 10s.

Noelle’s C6 is a substantial boost to her damage. At C6, Noelle should use a DEF-focused build since it offers better scaling, but ATK stats are still beneficial (from substats, weapon passives, or team buffs).

This Constellation also extends the duration of Noelle’s Burst by 1s for each enemy defeated, up to 10 times.

Combos

N = Normal Attack
C = Charged Attack
E = Elemental Skill
Q = Elemental Burst
D = dash (cancel)

> = switch character
( ) = these actions are optional; please refer to the notes below
[ ] = repeat these actions the specified number of times

E Q N3D N3 > (Swap) > #[N3D]Use Case: Multi-Target Scenarios

This combo is best used in AoE content. She only needs to perform the first 3 attacks in her Normal Attack string. The final Normal Attack in the string lands directly in front of her, which often hits only one or two enemies.
E Q N4D N4 > (Swap) > #[N4D]Use Case: Single-Target Scenarios

This combo is ideal in single-target scenarios. Noelle’s final attack in her Normal Attack string deals the most damage.
E Q C > (Swap) > #[C]Use Case: Redhorn Stonethresher, Spin-to-Win

Noelle’s spin-to-win Charged Attacks are viable if she equips Redhorn Stonethresher, since its passive increases Charged Attack damage considerably. Charged Attacks also provide more consistent healing to counteract Furina’s HP drain.

Normal Attack combos still perform well with Redhorn.

Artifacts

ER Requirements

No Geo Teammate200–300%
1 Geo Teammate120–150%
2 Geo Teammates100–140%
  • 24s rotations with average particle generation.
  • Each teammate Favonius proc reduces Noelle’s ER requirements by roughly 10%.
  • Noelle’s ER requirements as the only Geo character on the team can get as high as 300% without Favonius weapons.

Use the Energy Recharge Calculator to determine exact requirements for your team and rotation.

Artifact Stats

Noelle’s stat priorities differ depending on her Constellation and Burst Talent Level.

Note for 4pc Marechaussee Hunter with Furina:
Noelle can opt for a DEF% Goblet or Circlet to increase her healing and shield strength.

Artifact Sets

Recommended Sets

4pc Husk of Opulent Dreams
4pc Husk of Opulent Dreams is the best general use set.

If Noelle has Serpent Spine equipped, prioritize the weapon stacks over this 4pc set bonus. Otherwise, Noelle needs to remain off-field for 12s to fully stack the 4pc set bonus.

4pc Marechaussee Hunter
4pc Marechaussee Hunter is the best set to use when Noelle is paired with Furina.

Other Sets

4pc Gladiator’s Finale
4pc Gladiator’s Finale is a good, standard option since you likely have good pieces from farming Bosses.

4pc Retracing Bolide
4pc Retracing Bolide performs just slightly worse than 4pc Gladiator’s Finale. It is not worth farming.

2pc Mixed Sets
2pc Bonuses: Husk of Opulent Dreams, Archaic Petra, Marechaussee Hunter, ATK%

These are transitional set options while you farm for 4pc Husk of Opulent Dreams or Marechaussee Hunter.

4pc Archaic Petra
4pc Archaic Petra is only used when Noelle is an on-field driver and healer, not a damage dealer. This set is a significant reduction to her personal damage. Noelle must pick up the Elemental Shard from Crystallize to grant the corresponding Elemental DMG% buff.

This is most notably used in a team with Furina, Yelan, and Xingqiu.

Weapons

Redhorn Stonethresher
Redhorn Stonethresher is Noelle’s Best-in-Slot weapon.

Serpent Spine
Serpent Spine is Noelle’s second-best option overall. It performs well at R1 and benefits from refinements. If Noelle has 4pc Husk of Opulent Dreams, it is better to prioritize Serpent Spine stacks over the 4pc set bonus in the first rotation.

Verdict
Verdict is a good option for Noelle; however, it is better used on Navia if you only have one copy. Verdict is not worth pulling just for Noelle.

Beacon of the Reed Sea
Beacon of the Reed Sea performs on par with Verdict. Its passive applies to Noelle’s first 6 Normal Attacks after using her Skill or after her shield pops from her C4.

Tidal Shadow, Whiteblind
Whiteblind is Noelle’s best free option. Tidal Shadow is just 2–3% worse, so feel free to use it if you already crafted it for another Claymore user.

Skyward Pride
Skyward Pride is a good option if Noelle has high ER requirements (around 140% or higher). It performs on par with Whiteblind and Tidal Shadow at low ER requirements.

Wolf’s Gravestone, The Unforged
These 5-star Claymores perform on par with 4-star options, so they aren’t worth pulling for Noelle. You could use them if you already have them, but Whiteblind and Tidal Shadow are more consistent.

Favonius Greatsword
Favonius Greatsword may be necessary in Solo Geo teams where Noelle has incredibly high ER requirements. Although this comes at a cost to her personal DPS, it allows her to remain a viable driver in such teams.

Teams

  • N = Normal Attack
  • C = Charged Attack
  • A = Aimed Shot
  • P = Plunging Attack
  • E = Elemental Skill
  • tE = Tap Skill
  • hE = Hold Skill
  • Q = Elemental Burst
  • D = dash (cancel)
  • J = jump (cancel)
  • W = walk (cancel)

Teambuilding

  • Flexibility: Noelle’s flexible field team allows her to work with a variety of characters. Units who can refresh their abilities or have multiple charges can freely swap in without Noelle losing her Geo Infusion.
  • Geo Teammates: At least one Geo teammate is recommended in Noelle’s most recommended team archetypes to lower Noelle’s ER requirements and enable Geo Resonance.
  • Furina: Furina is one of Noelle’s premier non-Geo teammates. Her DMG% buff is extremely potent and Noelle easily heals back Furina’s teamwide HP drain.

Notable Teammates

Geo
Hydro
Electro
Pyro
Other
Geo

Gorou
Gorou is an exceptional teammate for Noelle in Triple Geo teams. His DEF buff and additional buff at C6 are incredibly potent. He also is a great battery for Noelle.

Albedo
Albedo is a great off-field Geo damage dealer who can slightly lower Noelle’s ER requirements. His Geo Construct lasts the entire rotation, but it can be easily broken by heavy enemies and bosses, so be careful with placement. Albedo can always swap in to refresh his Skill, however.

Navia
Navia is a great quickswap partner for Noelle. Noelle’s flexibility allows Navia to use her Skill up to three times per rotation. Navia also generates a good amount of Geo Particles to lower ER requirements.

Zhongli
Zhongli provides a great supplemental shield and 20% Universal RES Shred. Zhongli has poor particle generation, so he is usually the third or fourth Geo teammate.

Geo Traveler
Geo Traveler is a free-to-play option who batteries Noelle and deals decent damage. Their Geo Constructs may occasionally interfere with Noelle’s mobility, so careful placement is crucial to avoid griefing yourself.

Ningguang
Ningguang can generate Geo Particles, give a Geo DMG Bonus, and buff Noelle’s ATK with Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers.
At C2, Ningguang can use her Skill twice per rotation, but you must wait at least 4s between uses to generate Geo Particles due to her Skill’s particle ICD.

Yun Jin
Yun Jin provides an Additive Base DMG Bonus to Noelle’s Normal Attacks for up to 30 instances of damage. As such, she is only recommended in scenarios with 3 or fewer enemies to avoid consuming this quota too quickly.
Hydro

Furina
Furina is one of Noelle’s best non-Geo teammates. She provides good personal damage and a strong DMG% buff, but she also drains the team’s HP. Noelle takes good advantage of Furina’s buff and her healing can counteract the teamwide HP drain.

Yelan
Yelan is a strong off-field DPS unit who also provides a ramping DMG% buff. Noelle’s flexibility allows Yelan to perform her Skill twice per rotation, lowering her ER requirements.

Xingqiu
Xingqiu is another strong off-field DPS unit who provides additional defensive utility with his damage reduction (that increases the durability of Noelle’s shield).

Candace
Candace provides a Normal Attack DMG% buff, but she has poor damage output and high ER requirements. She is not usually recommended over other options.
Electro

Fischl
Fischl is a great off-field, single-target DPS unit who slightly reduces the team’s ER requirements. Fischl can freely swap in to refresh Oz thanks to Noelle’s flexibility. Noelle is also a great driver for Fischl’s C6.

Yae Miko
Yae is a potent off-field DPS unit who can use her Burst and refresh her totems more freely in teams with Noelle. However, she has lower particle generation and higher ER requirements compared to Fischl.

Beidou
Noelle is a good driver for Beidou’s Burst in scenarios with 2–3 enemies. Beidou should be paired with Fischl in Double Geo teams since her ER requirements are quite high otherwise.

Lisa
Lisa provides enemy DEF Shred with her Burst and A4 Passive and can buff Noelle’s ATK with Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers and 4pc Noblesse Oblige. However, her damage is on the low side and she has high ER requirements, so Lisa is only recommended alongside Fischl in Double Geo teams.
Pyro

Bennett
Bennett provides a Flat ATK buff via his Burst; however, Noelle already has a good DEF-to-ATK conversion, so she benefits less from Bennett’s buff than other DPS units. Nonetheless, ATK-scaling teammates like Navia, Fischl, or Xiangling also benefit from Bennett in Double Geo teams.

Bennett does restrict Noelle’s mobility, however, since Noelle must stay within the AoE of Bennett’s Burst to benefit from his buff. Additionally, his buff expires prior to Noelle finishing her combo in longer rotations.

Xiangling
Xiangling is a good off-field DPS unit that can be used in Double Geo teams with Bennett.
Other

Xianyun
Xianyun allows Noelle to become a Plunging Attack DPS unit with her Geo Infusion. Further testing is underway!

Rosaria
Rosaria can provide a CRIT Rate buff and decent off-field Cryo damage in a limited AoE. Favonius Lance and 4pc Noblesse Oblige is a good support build for her with Noelle.

Triple Geo

Noelle Triple Geo - Noelle Mono Geo
Noelle — Gorou (C6) — Geo — Flex

This is a strong Noelle team that capitalizes on Gorou’s buffs, Geo Resonance, and Geo Particles (to lower ER requirements). The flex slot is usually a Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro character to enable Crystallize, with Furina being the best option.

Example Teams

This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level.

Noelle — Gorou — Albedo — Furina
Noelle — Gorou — Albedo — Furina

A fantastic Noelle team. Gorou and Furina buff Noelle and Albedo’s damage.

Sample Rotation
Gorou EQ > Albedo E > Furina ED Q > Noelle E Q N3D N3 > Gorou E > Noelle 3[N3D] N2

Noelle — Gorou — Navia — Furina
Noelle — Gorou — Navia — Furina

Another good Noelle team where she and Navia share field time in a quickswap playstyle.

Sample Rotation
Furina ED > Navia Q > Gorou EQ > Furina Q > Noelle E Q N1 > Navia E N3D N3 > Gorou E > Navia E > Noelle N3D N3

Noelle — Gorou — Geo Traveler — Zhongli
Noelle — Gorou — Geo Traveler — Zhongli

A full Geo team where Zhongli provides a supplemental shield and Geo RES Shred. Geo Traveler serves as a good battery for Noelle and their Geo Constructs can resonate with Zhongli’s pillar for additional incidental damage. Albedo also works instead of Geo Traveler.

Sample Rotation
Zhongli hED > Gorou EQ > Traveler EQ E > Noelle E Q N3D N3 > Gorou E > Noelle 2[N3D] N3 > Traveler E > Noelle N3

Noelle — Gorou — Yun Jin — Fischl
Noelle — Gorou — Yun Jin — Fischl

An accessible 4-star–only team. Yun Jin provides an Additive Base DMG Bonus to Noelle’s Normal Attacks. Fischl deals damage off-field and enables Crystallize.

Sample Rotation
Fischl E > Gorou Q E > Yunjin Q > Noelle E Q N3D N4 > Fischl Q > Gorou E > Noelle 2[N3D] N3 > Yunjin E > Noelle N3

Double Geo

Noelle Double Geo
Noelle — Geo — Flex — Flex

Noelle’s Double Geo teams provide more flexibility in teambuilding. These teams become more attractive if you have neither C6 Noelle nor C6 Gorou.

Example Teams

This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level.

Noelle — Navia — Fischl — Furina
Noelle — Navia — Fischl — Furina

A great team for Noelle that has potential for front-loaded and sustained damage in a variety of enemy scenarios. This team frequently swaps between teammates.

Sample Rotation
Fischl E > Navia Q > Furina ED Q > Noelle E Q N1 > Navia E > Noelle N2 > Fischl Q > Noelle N3 > Navia E > Noelle N3D N3 > Navia E N3

Noelle — Albedo — Yelan — Furina
Noelle — Albedo — Yelan — Furina

This team takes advantage of Hydro Resonance to increase Yelan and Furina’s damage output. Yelan and Furina both provide a DMG% buff that benefits Noelle while she’s on-field. This team allows Yelan to use her Skill twice per rotation.

Sample Rotation
Furina ED Q > Albedo E > Yelan Q N1 E > Noelle N1* E Q 2[N3D] N3 > Yelan E N1 > Noelle N3

*Noelle only performs the beginning of her Normal Attack here before canceling it with her Skill just to proc Yelan’s Burst.

Noelle — Geo Traveler — Xiangling — Bennett
Noelle — Geo Traveler — Xiangling — Bennett

A free-to-play–friendly team that capitalizes on Pyro Resonance and Bennett’s Flat ATK buff. Xiangling provides good AoE damage.

Sample Rotation
Bennett Q E > Xiangling Q E > Traveler EQ > Noelle E Q 2[N3D] N3 > Traveler E > Noelle N3D N3 > Bennett E > Xiangling N2 > Traveler E > Noelle N3

Solo Geo

Noelle Solo Geo - Noelle Driver
Noelle — Flex — Flex — Flex

In Solo Geo teams, Noelle serves as an on-field driver with incredibly high ER requirements. She can drive a Mono Element team, a Burgeon team, or even a Hyperbloom team. Favonius Greatsword and 4pc Archaic Petra are recommended here.

Example Teams

This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level.

Noelle — Xingqiu — Yelan — Furina

Noelle is a good driver for Xingqiu and Yelan while her healing counteracts Furina’s teamwide HP drain. This team is most effective in single-target scenarios.

Sample Rotation
Furina ED Q > Xingqiu ED Q N1 (E) > Yelan Q N1 E > Noelle N1* E Q 2[N3D] N3 > Yelan N1 E > Noelle N2

*Noelle only performs the beginning of her Normal Attack before canceling it with her Skill just to proc Xingqiu’s and Yelan’s Burst.

Noelle — Nahida — Xingqiu — Thoma
Noelle — Nahida — Xingqiu — Thoma

Noelle’s defensive utility helps with survivability in Thoma’s Burgeon teams since his shield is often insufficient on a full EM build. Furthermore, Noelle’s Geo application helps mitigate Burning.

Sample Rotation
Xingqiu ED Q N1 > Nahida E N1 Q > Thoma EQ > Noelle N1* E Q 2[N3D] N3 > (Nahida E)* > Noelle N2

*Noelle only performs the beginning of her Normal Attack before canceling it with her Skill just to proc Xingqiu’s Burst. Swap back to Nahida at any time to reapply Dendro.

Noelle — Nahida — Xingqiu — Raiden
Noelle — Nahida — Xingqiu — Raiden

Noelle’s healing improves survivability in Raiden’s Hyperbloom teams, and her on-field flexibility allows Nahida to recast her Skill for new waves of enemies. However, while Noelle is viable, other units generally perform better, including but not limited to Baizhu, Yelan, and Beidou.

Sample Rotation
Raiden E > Xingqiu ED Q N1 > Nahida E N1 Q > Noelle N1* E Q 2[N3D] N3 > (Nahida E)* > Noelle N2

*Noelle only performs the beginning of her Normal Attack before canceling it with her Skill just to proc Xingqiu’s Burst. Swap back to Nahida at any time to reapply Dendro.
