![]() Skirk | Skirk can utilize Dahlia’s shield to activate Calamity of Eshu’s passive, and Dahlia’s Attack SPD buff lets Skirk squeeze in extra Normal Attacks. |
Character Overview
Playstyles
Support
Dahlia uses his Burst to provide a shield to the on-field character and, with his A4 Passive and Constellation 6, a moderate Attack SPD buff.
Talents
Level and Talent Priority
Leveling Dahlia to 90 softens the amount of HP stats required to maximize his A4 Passive.
Lv. 90 > Burst
Dahlia’s Normal Attacks are never used, and leveling his Skill only increases its marginal damage, making neither of them worthwhile to level.
Talent Overview
Normal Attack | Favonius Bladework – Ritual
Talent Description
Normal Attack
Performs up to 4 rapid strikes.
Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.
Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Dahlia’s stylish Normal Attacks see little use outside of proccing Favonius Sword in case his Skill and Burst fail to.
Elemental Skill | Immersive Ordinance
Talent Description
Time for a fun little trick! Summons the Sacramental Shower in different ways depending on whether you Tap or Hold it.
Tap
After a short prayer, summons the Sacramental Shower in front.
Hold
Engages in continuous prayer, and when done, summons forth a Sacramental Shower in the designated position.
Sacramental Shower
When opponents or nearby party members touch the Sacramental Shower, different effects will occur depending on the one who touches it:
If an opponent touches the Shower, it will explode and deal AoE Hydro DMG to nearby opponents.
If a nearby party member touches it, it will bounce the one who touches it high in the air.
Only 1 Sacramental Shower summoned by Dahlia himself can be on the field at once.
Dahlia’s Tap Skill auto-targets an enemy and summons a circle on the ground that reacts differently depending on who steps in. If an enemy walks into it, it deals AoE Hydro damage and generates 3 Hydro particles. But if a party member steps in, they get launched into the air, enabling them to perform a Plunging Attack — though this means the Skill won’t do any damage or generate particles, so it is almost never worth it outside of exploration.
Dahlia’s Hold Skill lets you summon the circle at a designated position. However, his Tap Skill is almost always used instead since it auto-targets anyway and is faster.
Elemental Burst | Radiant Psalter
Talent Description
Appeals to the divine with earnestness and song, dealing AoE Hydro DMG to nearby opponents and granting his party members Favonian Favor, summoning a Shield of Sacred Favor.
The Shield of Sacred Favor’s DMG absorption is based on Dahlia’s Max HP, and it will absorb Hydro DMG with 250% effectiveness.
Favonian Favor
While this effect is active, 1 Benison stack may be consumed to summon a new Shield of Sacred Favor when an existing Shield is broken via DMG.
Dahlia can obtain Benison via the following methods:
- He will gain 1 Benison stack when his own active party member hits opponents 4 times with Normal Attacks while affected by Favonian Favor.
- After triggering the effect of his Passive Talent, “The Wind’s Gentle Grace” (You must first unlock this Passive Talent.)
Dahlia can gain a maximum of 4 Benison stacks per Favonian Favor duration.
Dahlia’s Burst applies the Favonian Favor effect to all party members, granting the on-field character with a shield. With his A4 Passive and Constellation 6, it also provides an Attack SPD buff.
While his Burst is active, Dahlia can obtain Benison stacks, which can be consumed to create new shields if the current one is broken. Benison stacks are obtained either by triggering his A1 Passive, granting 2 Benison stacks, or when the on-field character hits enemies with Normal Attacks 4 times (including hitting multiple enemies), granting 1 Benison stack. A maximum of 4 Benison stacks can be accumulated throughout Favonian Favor’s duration.
Ascension 1 Passive | The Wind’s Gentle Grace
Talent Description
When characters affected by the Favonian Favor effect of the Elemental Burst Radiant Psalter trigger Frozen, they will grant Dahlia 2 Benison stacks. This effect can trigger once every 8s.
A simple passive that grants Dahlia 2 Benison stacks when a character affected by his Burst’s Favonian Favor triggers Freeze. Due to its 8s cooldown, this can typically trigger twice per Favonian Favor.
Ascension 4 Passive | Prayer of Well-Wrought Joy
Talent Description
When your active party member is affected by the Favonian Favor effect of the Elemental Burst “Radiant Psalter,” their ATK SPD will increase based on Dahlia’s Max HP: Every 1,000 Max HP will cause an increase of 0.5%, up to a maximum of 20%.
This passive provides the on-field character with up to 20% Attack SPD based on Dahlia’s Max HP.
To reach the maximum buff, Dahlia requires 40,000 Max HP. However, this is only realistic to achieve if Dahlia is at least Level 80/90 or has external HP buffs (e.g., Hydro Resonance).
Constellations
Constellation 1 | Infallible Procession
Constellation Description
Each time Dahlia gains 1 of his Elemental Burst Radiant Psalter’s Benison stacks, he will regain 2.5 Elemental Energy.
This Constellation reduces Dahlia’s ER requirements by ~40–45% if he gets 4 Benison stacks, noticeably easing them.
Constellation 2 | Revelation of Mercy
Constellation Description
After Dahlia consumes his Elemental Burst Radiant Psalter’s Benison stacks to summon a Shield of Sacred Favor, the character protected by said Shield will gain 25% increased Shield Strength for 12s.
A simple Constellation that increases the strength of new shields after the first one gets broken.
Constellation 3 | Windblume Offertory
Constellation Description
Increases the Level of Radiant Psalter by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Burst Levels increase Dahlia’s shield’s HP.
Constellation 4 | Collect of the Assembly
Constellation Description
The Favonian Favor from Dahlia’s Elemental Burst Radiant Psalter lasts 3 more seconds.
This Constellation moderately improves the uptime of Dahlia’s shield and Attack SPD buff.
Constellation 5 | Let It Be Subtly So
Constellation Description
Increases the Level of Immersive Ordinance by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Extra levels on Dahlia’s Skill only marginally increase its poor damage.
Constellation 6 | You Shall Go Out With Joy
Constellation Description
The current active character affected by the Elemental Burst Radiant Psalter’s Favonian Favor has their ATK SPD increased by 10%.
Additionally, when an active character affected by Favonian Favor falls, immediately:
- Revive them.
- Restore their HP to 100%.
This effect can trigger once every 15 minutes.
Dahlia’s C6 provides an additional 10% Attack SPD on top of his A4 Passive’s Attack SPD buff, totalling his maximum Attack SPD buff to 30%.
Combos
Combo Notation
- E = Elemental Skill
- Q = Elemental Burst
EQ | Dahlia’s default combo. He catches his own Skill particles to battery his Burst. |
Artifacts
ER Requirements
Calcs for ER requirements can be found here (last updated for Version 5.7).
C0 | C1 (4 Benison stacks) | |
Solo Hydro (1 Skill) | 240–270% | 200–225% |
Double Hydro (1 Skill) | 170–230% | 140–165% |
Double Hydro (2 Skills) | 100–125% | 100–105% |
One proc of Favonius lowers Dahlia’s ER requirements by ~45–60% in Solo Hydro and ~20–25% in Double Hydro.
Use the Energy Recharge Calculator to determine exact requirements for your team and rotation. For more details on how Favonius weapons will affect your team, please use Ac1d’s Favonius Mastersheet.
Artifact Stats
![]() Sands | ![]() Goblet | ![]() Circlet |
HP% / ER% | HP% | HP% / CRIT Rate |
Stat Priority: ER (until requirement) > CRIT Rate (Favonius) > HP% > Flat HP
Prioritize reaching Dahlia’s ER requirements before building HP stats for a stronger shield and higher Attack SPD buff from his A4 Passive.
A CRIT Rate Circlet can be used for better odds of triggering Favonius Sword at the cost of a lower Attack SPD buff.
Artifact Sets
![]() 4pc Noblesse Oblige (NO) | Dahlia Burst is used every rotation, so 4pc NO is a natural choice to buff ATK-scaling teammates. |
![]() 4pc Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City (Scroll) | 4pc Scroll is an alternative set to buff non-ATK scalers (e.g., Neuvillette, Mualani) or if another party member is already holding 4pc NO. |
![]() 4pc Archaic Petra (AP) | Dahlia can equip 4pc AP in teams with a Geo unit (e.g., Xilonen). |
![]() 2pc Mixed Sets | 2pc Set Bonuses: HP%, Energy Recharge, Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City* 2pc mixed sets can be used if the other supportive sets are already held by other units in the team or if none of them would work anyway (e.g., in Wanderer teams). *Requires a Natlan unit in the team. |
Weapons
![]() 4★ Favonius Sword | Favonius Sword is the general best weapon for Dahlia due to his high ER requirements. Note that due to Dahlia only having 2 hits with his EQ combo, it can be inconsistent to proc Favonius Sword without building additional CRIT Rate or performing a few Normal Attacks. |
![]() 5★ Freedom-Sworn | Though this weapon lacks the ER that Favonius Sword offers, it provides a modest Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG Bonus and ATK% buff, provided that Dahlia triggers a reaction to activate its passive with both his Skill and Burst. Note that the passive has a 20s cooldown, meaning in teams with a rotation shorter than 20s it will only trigger once every other rotation. |
![]() 5★ Peak Patrol Song (PPS) | PPS can be a good option even with minimal DEF stats. However, opting for DEF stats instead of HP — thereby lowering Dahlia’s Attack SPD buff and his shield’s HP — can still result in a damage gain in certain teams. |
![]() HP Swords | 5★ Key of Khaj-Nisut; 4★ The Dockhand’s Assistant HP stat sticks that can be used to reach Dahlia’s 40,000 Max HP target. However, Favonius Sword is typically more valuable for both the team and Dahlia’s own ER requirements. |
![]() ER Swords | 5★ Skyward Blade; 4★ Sacrificial Sword, Fleuve Cendre Ferryman, Sapwood Blade, Festering Desire ER stat sticks that can help Dahlia reach his ER requirements if Favonius Sword is unavailable. |
Teams

- P = Plunging Attack
- E = Elemental Skill
- tE = Tap Skill
- hE = Hold Skill
- Q = Elemental Burst

- J = jump (cancel)
- W = walk (cancel)
- > = switch character
- ( ) = these actions are optional; please refer to the notes below
- [ ] = repeat these actions the specified number of times

Dahlia is best paired with characters who can utilize his (up to) 30% Attack SPD buff, e.g., on-field DPS units who mainly use their Normal Attacks. Outside of that, he can provide shields to any other on-field DPS. However, Dahlia is almost always outclassed in that role by units who provide more utility than just shielding.
Notable Teammates
![]() ![]() ![]() Skirk, Clorinde, Ayato | Dahlia enables Sword users to equip Calamity of Eshu, an extremely powerful 4-star Sword. |
Example Teams
This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level.

Dahlia is a viable Hydro option for Skirk, providing her with a modest Attack SPD buff and a shield; the latter also enables her to equip Calamity of Eshu, which is Dahlia’s biggest benefit.
Sample Rotation
Furina ED Q > Escoffier EQ > Dahlia EQ > Skirk combo

In this team, Dahlia can only equip 2pc mixed sets due to 4pc NO already being equipped on Bennett.
Sample Rotation (C6 Faruzan)
Faruzan Q E > Bennett EQ > Dahlia EQ > Wanderer combo
Sample Rotation (C0–C5 Faruzan)
Faruzan E C Q (N2) > Bennett EQ > Dahlia EQ > Wanderer combo > Bennett E

Ayato’s long rotations allow Dahlia to perform 2 Skills per rotation, significantly decreasing Dahlia’s ER requirements.
Sample Rotation
Furina ED Q > Xilonen EQ N2 > Dahlia EQ > Ayato E N15+ Q > Xilonen E N2 > Dahlia E > Ayato E N15+

Although Dahlia does not provide any off-field Hydro application, he offers a much-appreciated shield for Yoimiya and a modest Attack SPD buff.
Sample Rotation
Yelan EQ > Dahlia EQ > Bennett EQ > Yoimiya combo

Dahlia should use 4pc Archaic Petra (AP) in this team and pick up the shard created by Xilonen.
Sample Rotation
Arlecchino E > Bennett Q E > Xilonen E N2 > Dahlia EQ¹ > Arlecchino combo
¹Pick up the shard if Dahlia is using 4pc AP.
