Playstyles
Hydro/Cryo Support
Vodyanitsa uses her Elemental Skill to provide healing, Hydro application, Hydro and Cryo RES Shred, and Additive Base DMG Bonus to both on-field and off-field teammates. This enables her to be a good support for many Hydro and Cryo units.
Her Burst only does generic Hydro damage and is often used to fill downtime.
Stellar Swirl Support
Vodyanitsa’s playstyle remained unchanged in SSW teams. However, she now also provides Anemo RES Shred, and her Additive Base DMG buffs are only applied to SSW damage. Note that Vodyanitsa does not enable the reaction herself.
Talents
Level and Talent Priority
Skill > Character Level > Burst
In Hydro- or Cryo-centric teams, Vodynitsa’s Skill should be prioritized to increase her Hydro and Cryo RES Shred. However, in SSW teams where SSW Anemo damage is the majority of the team’s output, level 90 is as important as her Skill because it maximizes her A4’s Additive Base DMG buff.
Vodyanitsa’s Burst is usually used every other rotation or skipped entirely, so it is the lowest priority.
Talent Overview
Normal Attack | Psyshkhwe Arietta
Talent Description
Normal Attack
Sings an ancient song of the Water Imps, unleashing up to 4 strikes. This deals Hydro DMG to the opponent.
Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to hurl a water ball forward, dealing Hydro DMG.
Plunging Attack
Plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents along the path. Deals AoE Hydro DMG upon impact with the ground.
Vodyanitsa’s Normal Attacks are pretty but otherwise unremarkable. Vodyanitsa’s Normal and Charged Attacks are rarely used and make up an insignificant part of her damage.
Elemental Skill | Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn
Talent Description
Reveals her true Water Imp form, dealing AoE Hydro DMG and gaining the Song of Ages Past effect: While this effect is active, Vodyanitsa summons the ancient Horn of Spring’s Call, periodically moving closer to an opponent in a swift movement to attack them, dealing Hydro DMG.
The above two types of attacks will also decrease the Hydro RES and Cryo RES of opponents hit. Additionally, while the Song of Ages Past effect is active, the party’s active character gains increased resistance to interruption and periodically regenerates HP based on Vodyanitsa’s Max HP.
After casting her Skill, Vodyanitsa summons the Horn of Spring’s Call that attacks and applies Hydro in AoE every 3s and reduces nearby opponents’ Hydro and Cryo RES. Additionally, the active character gains increased interruption resistance (IR) and healing every 1.5s while the Horn is active.
Hydro Application
Vodyanitsa’s Skill applies Hydro from off-field every 3s. This rate is too slow to enable most Reverse Vape or Dendro teams on its own; however, it can still be disruptive to SSW teams without fast-applying Cryo teammates to compensate, especially for teams with Mizuki. Vodyanitsa’s other main teams, Hydro- and Cryo-centric ones, are mostly unaffected by her Hydro application.
Elemental Burst | Koda: Sink With Thee
Talent Description
Leads a song of the Water Imps which lures its listeners to their doom. This deals AoE Hydro DMG to the opponent.
When in the Song of Ages Past state, DMG dealt is further increased.
Vodyanitsa’s Burst deals a simple instance of Hydro damage, which increases if her Skill is active.
In a Hydro-centric team where Vodyanitsa has low ER requirements and there is time in the rotation, her Burst can be worth casting for extra damage. However, as it does not provide any utility, Vodyanitsa often skips her Burst or only uses it whenever available as downtime filler in teams where she is a mere support.
Ascension 1 Passive | The Last Djeguako Songstress
Talent Description
When the Elemental Skill Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn is used, any Stellar Vortex on the field will turn into a Wandering Vortex instead. While the Song of Ages Past effect is active, nearby party members’ Stellar Swirl reactions will generate Wandering Vortex instead.
Generating or detonating a Wandering Vortex will also reduce nearby opponents’ Anemo RES by 35% for 6s.
Additionally, nearby party members who enter the Radiance: Stellar Swirl state while Song of Ages Past is in effect will have the Radiance: Stellar Swirl state extended by 4s.
Vodyanitsa shreds Anemo RES when Wandering Vortex (from SSW) is created or explodes. This allows her to be a support for SSW Anemo characters such as Vesna or Mizuki. Additionally, SSW units’ Radiance: Stellar Swirl state increases from 8s to 12s when Vodyanitsa’s Skill is active.
Note that the “Wandering Vortex” stated in this Passive’s description performs identical to the normal Stellar Vortex.
Ascension 4 Passive | Dirge of the Fandyr
Talent Description
When the Elemental Skill Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn is used, Vodyanitsa will also gain 25 stacks of Lead Vocal as well as 10 stacks of Chorus.
The two effects above last 30s each, and the stack count is refreshed when the Elemental Skill is used.
Lead Vocal
When the party’s currently active character deals Hydro DMG or Cryo DMG with a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Plunging Attack, Elemental Skill, or Elemental Burst, 1 stack of “Lead Vocal” is consumed. This in turn increases the DMG dealt. However, if a Wandering Vortex is present on the field or during the 5s following a Wandering Vortex explosion, this effect will only trigger when the character deals Stellar Swirl reaction DMG.
Every 1000 Max HP Vodyanitsa has in excess of 40000 will increase the Stellar Swirl reaction DMG from the above effect by 260, as well as Hydro DMG and Cryo DMG dealt by 140. Stellar Swirl reaction DMG dealt can be increased by a maximum of 6500 while Hydro DMG and Cryo DMG can be increased by a maximum of 3500 in this way.
Chorus
Triggered by off-field party members or other nearby party members (and not your currently active party member). Effects are the same as those of “Lead Vocal.”
After casting her Skill, Vodyanitsa grants 25 stacks of Lead Vocal and 10 stacks of Chorus to the whole team.
Lead Vocal
Vodyanitsa provides an Additive Base DMG buff (similar to Shenhe’s Icy Quill) to the active character when they deal Hydro or Cryo damage from their Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, Skill, and Burst. This buff scales with her Max HP over 40,000 and caps at 65,000 HP. However, this effect can only be triggered 25 times and is shared among active teammates. Additionally, alongside Wandering Vortex in SSW teams, this Additive Base DMG Bonus only affects SSW damage (both direct and reaction-based, Anemo and Cryo).
Chorus
Chorus: Has the same mechanic to Lead Vocal, but applies to off-fielders instead. All off-field teammates share the 10 stacks of Chorus.
Overall, this passive incentivizes building HP on Vodyanitsa. She can easily reach or approach the 65,000 HP cap as she does not have other stats to build for.
Constellations
Constellation 1 | Waters in Full Splendor
Constellation Description
Each time Vodyanitsa triggers the healing effect of Song of Ages Past, it also increases the ATK of all nearby party members by 0.8% of her Max HP for 5s.
When Vodyanitsa’s Skill heals, she increases all teammates’ ATK based on her Max HP without a cap. This Constellation is a simple yet good increase for teams with ATK-scaling units.
Constellation 2 | Echoes That Pierce the Snow
Constellation Description
When the Horn of Spring’s Call from the Elemental Skill Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn attacks the opponent, Vodyanitsa gains the “Two Voices in Black and White” effect which increases the CRIT DMG from Hydro DMG and Cryo DMG dealt by the currently active party member by 50% for 5s.
If there is a Wandering Vortex present on the field or in the 5s after a Wandering Vortex explodes, the effect changes to: increases the CRIT DMG from Stellar Swirl reaction DMG caused by the currently active party member by 60% for 5s.
Additionally, the Elemental Skill Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn is enhanced as follows: the duration of the Song of Ages Past effect is extended by 9s.
Vodyanitsa’s Skill state lasts for 9s more. Additionally, she provides 50% CRIT DMG to Hydro and Cryo damage dealt by the on-fielder. In SSW teams, this effect changes to 60% CRIT DMG to SSW damage dealt by the on-fielder. In general, this is another straightforward and powerful Constellation.
Constellation 3 | Song Lingering on a Spring Morning
Constellation Description
Increases the Level of the Elemental Skill Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Although less impactful than her C1 and C2, this simple increase to Vodyanitsa’s Skill Talent level still benefits the team by boosting her Hydro and Cryo RES Shred.
Constellation 4 | Melancholic Voice Upon the Gentle Waters
Constellation Description
When Vodyanitsa triggers the healing effect of Song of Ages Past, an additional effect will be triggered based on the healed character’s HP.
· If the character’s HP is below 40%: The healing is increased by 50%; and
· If the character’s HP is 40% or above: Vodyanitsa’s Max HP is increased by 20% for 6s. Max 3 stacks, and each stack’s duration is counted independently.
This Constellation increases Vodyanitsa’s healing potential and gives her HP% buffs which help increase her A4 Passive and C1 buffs.
Constellation 5 | Together, Down Into the Deep
Constellation Description
Increases the Level of the Elemental Burst Koda: Sink With Thee by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Talent levels for Vodyanitsa’s Burst. As she rarely uses her Burst and deals insignificant damage in most teams where she is a support, this is an underwhelming Constellation to get.
Constellation 6 | Neverending Song of Revelry
Constellation Description
The Constellation Echoes That Pierce the Snow is enhanced: “Two Voices in Black and White” now applies to all nearby party members.
Additionally, while the Song of Ages Past effect is active, Stellar Swirl reaction DMG dealt by nearby party members is elevated by 25% while Hydro DMG and Cryo DMG dealt are increased by 60%.
At C6, Vodyanitsa’s CRIT DMG buff now applies to all teammates. Additionally, she gives 25% Elevation to SSW damage, and 60% DMG Bonus to Hydro and Cryo damage.
A fitting capstone Constellation for all her teams.
C1 vs R1
Vodyanitsa’s C1 is strictly better than her signature weapon, Hymn of the Maelstrom. The Flat ATK buff her C1 gives is teamwide and larger than the effective ATK her signature provides, which is for the on-field character only. Additionally, in teams where TTDS’s passive buff is available every rotation, Hymn of the Maelstrom is such a small upgrade that it is not recommended to be pulled at all.

| E (Q) | In most teams, Vodyanitsa only uses her Skill then switches to the next character in the rotation. Her Burst may be used to fill downtime in the rotation as needed, but it is generally skipped in most teams. |
Artifacts
ER Requirements
Calcs for ER requirements can be found here (last updated for Version 7.1).
Vodyanitsa uses her Burst every rotation in teams with primarily Hydro damage dealers, with Prototype Amber being the recommended weapon. Outside of these teams, she often skips her Burst or uses it whenever available without having to build ER.
| Prototype Amber | Other Weapons | |
| Double Hydro | 145–155% | 210–220% |
| Triple Hydro | 100–130% | 140–190% |
Use the Energy Recharge Calculator to determine exact requirements for your team and rotation. For more details on how Favonius weapons will affect your team, please use Ac1d’s Favonius Mastersheet.
Artifact Stats
![]() Sands | ![]() Goblet | ![]() Circlet |
| HP% | HP% | HP% |
Stat Priority: HP% > (ER > CRIT) > Flat HP
Vodyanitsa prioritizes maximizing her HP for her A4 and C1 buffs.
When Vodyanitsa uses her Burst every rotation, building ER and CRIT from substats has higher value. Outside of these teams, she still only cares about stacking on HP.
Artifact Sets
Hover over artifact images for more information.
![]() 4pc Tenacity of the Millelith (TotM) | 4pc TotM is Vodyanitsa’s best support set in ATK-scaling teams. Its 2pc set bonus also increases her HP, which helps her A4 and C1 buffs. She can maintain high uptime for the set with her long-lasting off-field Skill. |
![]() 2pc TotM + 2pc Vourukasha’s Glow | A 2pc HP + 2pc HP mixed set trades 4pc TotM’s ATK% buff for higher personal HP (for Vodyanitsa’s A4 and C1). This is preferred in teams where the main damage dealers do not scale with ATK, such as Neuvillette and Mizuki. |
![]() 4pc Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City (Scroll) | 4pc Scroll is a good alternative for 4pc TotM if another teammate already holds it. Vodyanitsa can reliably trigger the relevant reaction for its passive (usually Frozen). |
![]() 4pc Archaic Petra (AP) | In teams with at least one Geo unit, Vodyanitsa can equip 4pc AP and pick up a Crystallize shard to give a teamwide DMG Bonus buff to the shard’s respective Element. If the rotation allows Vodyanitsa to pick up shards frequently, this can perform as her best set in such teams. |
![]() ![]() 4pc Ocean-Hued Clam (OHC) 4pc Song of Days Past (SoDP) | These sets capitalize on Vodyanitsa’s healing to provide either extra personal damage (OHC) or an extra buff (SoDP). However, they often perform worse than the abovementioned sets. |
Weapons
Hover over weapon images for more information.
![]() 5★ Hymn of the Maelstrom | Hymn of the Maelstrom is Vodyanitsa’s signature and, by a small margin, best-in-slot weapon. It buffs her HP and the on-fielder’s ATK. The buff caps out at 42% ATK (at R1) with 60,000 HP on Vodyanitsa, which is fairly easy to achieve. However, Hymn of the Maelstrom can be a fairly small upgrade over TTDS if the team already runs a 21s+ rotation where TTDS’s passive is available every rotation. It is also not a huge increase over a 4-star HP Catalyst like Prototype Amber in teams with teammates who do not scale with ATK. |
![]() 3★ Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers (TTDS) | TTDS is the default F2P option for teams with an ATK-scaling on-field unit. If the team rotation is at least 20s, Vodyanitsa can trigger this weapon’s passive every rotation, allowing it to rival even Hymn of the Maelstrom. |
![]() 4★ Prototype Amber | Vodyanitsa’s uses Prototype Amber when a higher A4 team buff outweighs using TTDS on a single low-impact ATK-scaling teammate. Prototype Amber’s teamwide healing can also help stack Furina’s Fanfare faster in teams where Vodyanitsa already uses her Burst. Additionally, it allows Vodyanitsa to Burst every rotation in teams where she is allowed to. |
![]() 4★ Sacrificial Jade | In teams where TTDS is not applicable, Sacrificial Jade at high refinements (R3+) is worthwhile to run over other options. If Vodyanitsa uses her Burst frequently for damage and has low ER requirements, R1 Sacrificial Jade performs on par with Prototype Amber. |
![]() 4★ Ash-Graven Drinking Horn | Ash-Graven Drinking Horn is an event-limited weapon that has an HP% secondary stat and a passive that deals Physical damage scaling with Vodyanitsa’s HP. It is worth using for free extra damage in teams where Prototype Amber’s passive is not useful. |
![]() ![]() 5★ Everlasting Moonglow, Jadefall’s Splendor | These 5-star stat sticks grant slightly more HP% than Prototype Amber but without other utility. However, they are not worth getting and not worth using over Prototype Amber unless Vodyanitsa skips her Burst entirely. |
![]() 4★ Waveriding Whirl | At high refinements and in Hydro teams, Waveriding Whirl can be a marginal upgrade over Prototype Amber when Vodyanitsa uses her Burst every rotation. Otherwise, this weapon is not worth considering. |

Hydro / Cryo Teams

Vodyanitsa is a powerful support for most Hydro- and Cryo-centric teams (aside from Melt and Forward Vape). She is best used with Escoffier in a Pure Freeze team consisting of only Hydro and Cryo characters. Her teammates appreciate her Cryo and Hydro RES Shred, additional buffs, healing, and interruption resistance (IR).
Notable Teammates
Hydro
When used together, Hydro units help each other’s ER requirements and enable Hydro Resonance for a teamwide 25% HP buff (buffing Vodyanitsa’s A4 and C1). In a team focusing on Hydro characters’ damage, Vodyanitsa can cast her Burst every rotation for respectable personal damage.
Furina | Vodyanitsa’s single-ally healing cannot max out Furina’s Fanfare. However, Vodyanitsa’s offensive buffs are still good enough to be used over plain teamwide healers who do not provide anything else. |
Varka | Vodyanitsa is one of the best Hydro teammates for Varka’s Hydro playstyle thanks to her healing and buffs. |
Chasca | Similarly to Varka, Chasca can deal substantial Hydro damage despite being an Anemo unit. She also benefits greatly from Vodyanitsa’s buffs. |
Cryo
![]() Escoffier | Escoffier synergizes extremely well with Vodyanitsa in teams with only Hydro and Cryo units. They offer tons of utility together: good healing, high amount of RES Shred, decent off-field damage (from Escoffier) and valuable Additive DMG Bonus (from Vodyanitsa). Vodyanitsa’s healing also enables Furina’s Fanfare, allowing Escoffier to Burst every other rotation or skip it entirely so that she can build more offensive stats. |
Stellar Glimmer DPS | Sandrone, Cryo Traveler, Odette Vodyanitsa is a good teammate for these Cryo Stellar Glimmer (both Stellar-Conduct (SSC) and SSW) DPS units with her healing, IR, TTDS, 4pc TotM, Cryo RES Shred, and Additive Base DMG (although this buff does not apply to direct Cryo SSC damage). |
Wriothesley | Vodyanitsa is an amazing teammate for Wriothesley’s Freeze teams. However, he cannot use her reliably in SSC teams, his strongest archetype, because her healing disables his special Charged Attack. However, against aggressive enemies, Wriothesley can take enough damage to maintain his HP below 60% for the special Charged Attack, even with Vodyanitsa’s healing. |
Flex
Characters of different Elements can be used for their support capability or other utility such as grouping. Anemo is the most common flex option for 4pc VV’s RES Shred. Electro units may be used to enable SSC.
Example Teams
This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level.

Vodyanitsa is one of the best teammates for Skirk, a dedicated DPS in Pure Freeze teams. She should hold 4pc TotM and TTDS to buff Skirk.
Sample Rotation
Furina ED N1 Q > Escoffier E(Q)¹ > Vodyanitsa E (Q)¹ > Skirk combo
¹Alternate between the two Bursts each rotation.

Vodyanitsa can be a good substitute for Furina in Cryo-centric teams, such as this Lohen one.
Sample Rotation
Vodyanitsa E > Escoffier E > Mona Q N1 E N1 > Lohen combo

Vodyanitsa performs better than any other options barred Yae Miko in this Sandrone team. Vodyanitsa’s IR boost also prevents disruption of Sandrone’s Charged Attack. Additionally, her Hydro application eats away Cryo aura applied by Sandrone and Odette, occasionally allowing Alyosha to establish Electro aura against enemies that are Freeze-resistant or cannot be Frozen. This enables strong weapons: Blade of Atonement or Forged by the Golden Melody for Sandrone, and Emberwell for Odette.
Sample Rotation
Odette 2[E] > Alyosha Q E > Vodyanitsa E > Sandrone combo

Vodyanitsa is also an extremely powerful teammate for Cryo Traveler’s SSC teams.
Sample Rotation
Yae 3[E] > Odette Q/E¹ E > Vodyanitsa E > Traveler E 2[N2CD] N2C Q D² N2C > (Yae E Q / Cryo Traveler D N2C)³
¹Burst whenever available; otherwise, use her Skill.
²Dash forwards as the Burst moves Traveler away from the target.
³Yae’s actions if her Burst is available; Traveler’s otherwise.

This is one of Neuvillette’s best teams despite only allowing one stack of his A1 Passive at C0. The entire team provides tremendous buffs to Neuvillette’s personal damage.
Sample Rotation (Escoffier)
Neuvillette E > Furina ED N3 > Escoffier EQ > Vodyanitsa E Q > Furina Q > Neuvillette C E C Q > Escoffier E N1 > Vodyanitsa E Q > Neuvillette 2[C]
Sample Rotation (Xilonen)
Neuvillette E > Furina ED N3 > Xilonen EQ N2 > Vodyanitsa E Q > Furina Q > Neuvillette C E C Q > Xilonen E N2 > Vodyanitsa E Q > Neuvillette 2[C]

Vodyanitsa is a good replacement (or even a slight upgrade) to C0 Furina in most of Neuvillette’s teams, including his Hypercarry ones.
Sample Rotation
Neuvillette E > Kazuha tEP > Xilonen EQ N2 > Vodyanitsa E Q > Kazuha Q tEP > Neuvillette C E C Q > Xilonen E N2 > Vodyanitsa E Q > Kazuha tEP > Neuvillette 2[C]

Hydro Traveler has emerged as a viable Hydro damager bolstered by substantial quest self-buffs and Exaiphanes Blade, a potent free-to-play 5-star Sword specifically tailored for them.
Sample Rotation
Albedo E N1 > Mona Q N1 > Vodyanitsa E > Mona N1 E N1 > Traveler hE¹ N1C > (Vodynitsa Q / Hydro Traveler Q)²
¹Use the full Hold Skill.
²Vodyanitsa can use her Burst every rotation, or alternate between her and the Traveler’s Burst each rotation.

Sample Rotation
Ayato Q > Escoffier E > Vodyanitsa E Q > Citlali EQ > Ayato E N15 > Escoffier Q E > Vodyanitsa E Q > Citlali E > Ayato E N15

Varka’s Hydro teams are much more viable with the help of Vodyanitsa, his new best Hydro teammate.
Sample Rotation
Vodyanitsa E > Prune EQ > Mona Q N1 E N3 > Varka combo

Chasca benefits from Vodyanitsa’s strong buffs in teams where she can deal Hydro damage with her enhanced Charged Attacks. Vodyanitsa should hold TTDS to buff Chasca in this team.
Sample Rotation
(Furina ED Q)¹ > Mavuika Q C E > Vodyanitsa E > Chasca E combo (Q)¹
¹Every other rotation.
Stellar Swirl Teams

With her Cryo RES Shred, Anemo RES Shred, and SSW Additive Base DMG Bonus, Vodyanitsa is one of the best supports for SSW teams. One teammate should hold 4pc Heart of the Furnace (HotF) to buff SSW damage. Note that Vodyanitsa does not enable the reaction herself.
Notable Teammates
On-Field Stellar Swirl DPS
![]() Vesna | Vesna is a SSW Anemo DPS that can enable the reaction herself. She strongly values Vodyanitsa for her buffs and healing. Vodyanitsa should hold TTDS and pass its buff to Vesna. |
Mizuki | While Mizuki is a strong SSW DPS, she cannot enable the reaction herself and has to rely on Odette or Cryo Traveler. Additionally, Vodyanitsa’s Hydro application can occasionally remove Cryo aura on enemies that are Freeze-resistant or cannot be Frozen. This disrupts Mizuki’s Swirl patterns, which can result in fewer Witch’s Revelation Passive and C1 procs. To avoid this, the team should have 2 off-field Cryo appliers or a Cryo unit with fast Cryo application. |
Cryo
Off-field Cryo application is indispensable for SSW teams. Odette and Cryo Traveler are the two best options for their good buffs and personal damage, which is increased by Vodyanitsa’s RES Shred and A4 buff.
Odette | Odette enables SSW and provides a teamwide Stellar DMG buff. She also deals decent damage and applies off-field Cryo with her Skill. Odette is the prime candidate for 4pc HotF thanks to her periodic, direct SSW damage. |
Cryo Traveler | Cryo Traveler is an accessible yet powerful SSW enabler that applies off-field Cryo with their Skill. Their C2 gives the active character 120 EM, and their C6 gives up to 40% Stellar DMG Bonus to their teammates. The majority of Cryo Traveler’s damage comes from their Burst and enhanced Charged Attack that deal direct SSW damage. |
![]() Diona | Diona’s C6 provides 200 EM and 40% SSW DMG Bonus to the on-fielder within her Burst AoE, marking her as the best Cryo alternative to Odette and Cryo Traveler. Her only downside is her long Burst cooldown and C6 reliance. In teams with short rotations, Diona can use her Burst every other rotation. |
![]() Qiqi | Qiqi gives a teamwide SSW DMG Bonus and, at C6, Additive Base DMG Bonus. Overall, she is a good Cryo option for the team. |
Other Anemo
Anemo units can be used in Vesna teams when either Odette or Cryo Traveler is not available. However, they are not recommended over a Double Cryo core for Mizuki. Additionally, players can use a generic Anemo DPS to play in SSW teams, but they significantly underperform compared to Vesna and Mizuki.
C6 Faruzan | With Anemo RES Shred and Anemo CRIT DMG buffs, C6 Faruzan is the best Anemo unit to use in SSW teams. Faruzan holds 4pc HotF or 4pc VV if Odette or Cryo Traveler already uses 4pc HotF. |
![]() Sucrose | Sucrose provides teamwide EM buffs and can be a decent support choice if Faruzan or Diona is not C6. |
Example Teams
This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level.

Vodyanitsa is generally the best teammate for Vesna / Mizuki aside from the usual Odette–Cryo Traveler pair. Vodyanitsa wields TTDS and passes it to Vesna in her team, or to either Odette or Cryo Traveler in the team with Mizuki.
Sample Rotation (Vesna)
Odette Q/E¹ E > Cryo Traveler E N1C² Q > Vodyanitsa E > Vesna combo
¹Burst every other rotation, starting from the second rotation onwards; otherwise, use her Skill.
²Skips the N1C on first rotation.
Sample Rotation (Mizuki)
Vodyanitsa E > Odette Q/E¹ E > Traveler² E N1C Q > Mizuki E (Q)³
¹Burst every other rotation, starting from the second rotation onwards; otherwise, use her Skill.
²Only cast Traveler’s Skill on the first rotation.
³Burst whenever available.

If one of Odette or Cryo Traveler is unavailable, C6 Faruzan can be a decent replacement for them.
Sample Rotation (Vesna)
If Odette’s Burst is ready:
Odette Q > Faruzan Q > Odette E > Vodyanitsa E > Vesna combo
If Odette’s Burst is not ready:
Faruzan E C Q > Odette 2[E] > Vodyanitsa E > Vesna combo
Limited Roster Alternatives
These teams are meant for newer players whose limited roster prevents them from using the teams above; as such, the teams below result in lower damage output.

While Vodyanitsa is generally worse than Faruzan or Sucrose in this team, she allows a more comfortable experience with her healing and IR. In this team, Cryo Traveler holds 4pc HotF, Diona uses 4pc TotM, and Vodyanitsa uses 2pc HP% + 2pc HP% for a higher A4 buff.
Sample Rotation
Diona hE(Q)¹ > Vodyanitsa E > Traveler E N1C² Q > Mizuki E (Q)³
¹Burst every other rotation.
²Skips the N1C on first rotation.
³Burst whenever available.
Miscellaneous Teams

In these teams that do not fit the aforementioned archetypes, Vodyanitsa uses various parts of her kit to deal damage. Additionally, Vodyanitsa can perform as a generic healer in any team that does not mind her Hydro application.
Example Teams
This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level.

Vodyanitsa is a good alternative for Kokomi in this typical Nilou Bloom team as her healing is decent enough to offset the self-damage from Bloom. Vodyanitsa should build EM as she has substantial Bloom ownership in this team: EM main stats and substats, 4pc Flower of Paradise Lost or 4pc Gilded Dreams, and an EM Catalyst.
Sample Rotation
Vodyanitsa E > Nahida E Q N1 > Nilou E N2 E / Q¹ > Lauma Q hE > Vodyanitsa N1 (Q)² N2C spam³
¹Alternate between Nilou’s Skill and Burst each rotation.
²Every other rotation.
³Until her Skill is ready.
